As a former Starbucks Barista, I was inspired by their Salted Caramel Signature Hot Chocolate (yum!). I found the buttercream recipe from Domestic Goddess and the chocolate cake (my favorite so far) from Tummy Rummble.

Here are the cupcakes filled with the buttercream.
Due to time constraints I had to modify my finishing. Originally, it was supposed to be a coffee-colored fondant top with dark brown swirls and a butterfly made from white chocolate and dark chocolate and maybe a tiny orange/yellow flower. Instead, I just rosetted the cakes, sprinkled sea salt, and garnished with orange fondant flowers.
It tasted great and doesn’t look too awful. My cousin took a better picture of it with her camera, but by the time she took it humidity took its toll and the flowers flattened out. =( She hasn’t posted it on FB, but when she does I may post it.
